Structural design
Overall structure: The rear air suspension shock absorber is usually a cylindrical structure. It is mainly composed of an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder (piston rod), a piston, a base and other parts. The outer cylinder is generally made of metal and is used to accommodate the internal working parts and shock-absorbing oil; the piston rod connects the piston and extends out of the outer cylinder. One end is connected to the vehicle frame and can move up and down inside the cylinder.
Piston assembly: The piston is one of the core components of the shock absorber. It is located inside the inner cylinder and divides the inner cylinder into upper and lower working chambers. There is usually a precisely designed valve system on the piston. These valves can control the flow of oil between the upper and lower chambers. When the vehicle vibrates, the piston moves up and down inside the cylinder, and the oil generates damping force through the throttling effect of the valve.
Base and connection part: The base part is used to connect with the rear axle or other suspension parts of the vehicle. The connection method generally uses bolt fixation. The design of the connection part should ensure that the shock absorber can be firmly installed on the vehicle and can effectively transmit force. For shock absorbers suitable for Daf with OEM 1706445 and 1707360 with LF 55 series, the size and shape of the connection part are specially adapted to the rear axle structure of this series of models.
